GELATO IN MILAN

CIOCCOLATITALIANI

This is truly a chocolate and ice cream lover's heaven! Thanks to the famous artisan "chocolatier", Sivio Bessone, only the finest beans are selected to become chocolate. You can see how precious chocolate is here as it is kept in a "vault" in white chocolate or dark chocolate bars. Stop by for your favorite chocolate ice cream: there are six different versions of chocolate alone! Other special treats include crepes with melted chocolate, chocolate pasta, and a spectacular fruit pyramid with a cascade of melted chocolate. Stop by; you will not be disapointed.

HOME MADE - delicate food restarant

As the name suggests, Home Made offers clients an atmosphere that is more home-like than a traditional restaurant, with a warm, cosy feel. This new formula and the design were created by proprietor and “food designer” Monica Bagnari along with Milanese architects Luca Rossire and Riccardo Salvi for this trendy space. The restaurant is divided into various different areas, starting with the entrance leading "into the home" through a garden, then into the dining room, passing through a living area which intentionally interrupts the passageway to offer a corner for relaxing or eating in a less formal atmosphere.
Open during the week for a chic lunch, or in the evening for a relaxing dinner. Superb creative menu! Also open for Sunday brunch.

The Pinacoteca di Brera is a must see (Via Brera 28). It is a gallery mostly devoted to Italian paintings from 1200 to 1900. It includes a large number of masterpieces by major Italian artists, including Raphael, Tiziano, Caravaggio, Mantegna, and so on. The regular entrance fee is 5 euros, half that for Eurocitizens 18-25 years old, and free of charge for under 18 and over 65 Eurocitizens. A virtual tour is available at the Pinacoteca web site. http://www.brera.beniculturali.it/gallery/informazioni
